ITOSU KAI CREST

Itosu-Kai Crest

In 1969, the 4th Soke of Itosu-Kai, Sadaaki Sakagami created the current Itosu-Kai 'mon' or crest.

The 'mon' is designed with the Chinese character for Ito of Itosu-kai on the Japanese national flag. The colour red also means courage, passion and health.

The kanji below the symbol reads - "Japan Karate-Do Itosu-Kai".
